The Australian International Spirits Awards presentation was held at Melbourne Showgrounds on Monday 27 July, welcoming more than 300 guests for an evening celebrating excellence across Australia’s spirits and distilling industry. The 2026 awards were the biggest ever, with more than 1,100 entries received from Australia and around the globe. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and finalists on an outstanding achievement and to everyone who contributed to making this year’s awards such a memorable celebration.

With just six weeks until the gates of Melbourne Royal Show open on the 24th of September, months of planning are coming to life and excitement is building as we prepare to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors from across Victoria and beyond.

It’s Showtime very soon, and the Melbourne Royal team are very much looking forward to presenting the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show from Thursday 24 September to Sunday 4 October at Melbourne Showgrounds for all Victorians to enjoy.

The Melbourne Royal Board, management and staff were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Brian Alford.
