Melbourne Royal is incredibly grateful for the thousands of competitors who competed to win a coveted Melbourne Royal Blue ribbon and the hundreds of volunteers who generously provided their valuable time to assist us present the 2023 Melbourne Royal Show.

Celebrating 175 years, the Melbourne Royal Show remains Victoria’s most loved community event Victoria’s most loved and iconic community event, the Melbourne Royal Show, closed the gates at 9pm, Sunday 1 October, after enjoying one of the most successful Shows in the organisation’s 175-year history.

Attracting the top of the herd, the Melbourne Royal Show Beef Cattle and Carcase Competition has crowned the 2023 winners.

Today the Melbourne Royal Show opens its gates for 2023, celebrating 175 years since the first ever agricultural Show was held in Melbourne in 1848. The return of Melbourne’s most iconic community event brings with it crowd favourites including countless agricultural encounters, a feast of food and farm experiences, incredible entertainment, showbags, rides and so much more.
