Following an action-packed weekend at the Melbourne Royal Show, the week started on a sweet note with judging of pastry perfection in the hotly contested apple pie competition.

The atmosphere was electric on day four of the Melbourne Royal Show, celebrating both the fierce woodchopping battle with the coveted Golden Axe, and the promising future of agriculture in the Livestock Pavilion.

From the endearing alpacas and the skill of young dairy cattle handlers, to the power of women dominating the woodchopping arena, day three of the Melbourne Royal Show was packed with highlights.

Day two of the Melbourne Royal Show delivered talent and tradition in spades, with woodchopping, horses, dogs, and sheep all taking the spotlight. The woodchopping competitions were fierce, the crowd-favourite Clydesdales captured hearts everywhere, and the dog confirmation classes showcased the best of the best. Over in the sheep arena, top breeders from across the country – including the next generation – also brought their showcased excellence.
