2020 AIBA to go ahead with a new judging schedule and entries now open. Entries close 7 August and judging will occur from 9 to 11 September at Melbourne Showgrounds.

Even though we can’t host the Australian International Beer Awards Presentation Event on Thursday as planned, we’d still love to see you! We are hosting the AIBA 2020 Isolation Edition instead, a special virtual brewers choice awards night to celebrate the Australian beer industry in iso, as part of the Good Beer Week Virtual Festival.

Winners for the AIBA 2020 Isolation Edition have been announced at tonight's special virtual brewers choice awards night. Hosted by AIBA Judge Kirrily Waldhorn and Good Beer Week's Co-Founder Miro Bellini, the awards celebrated the Australian beer industry in isolation, as part of the Good Beer Week Virtual Festival. With almost 150 votes in from our AIBA exhibitors, we're lucky to have had so many great breweries be awarded trophies for their champion beers and many of them remain favourites for the industry and the consumer.

Due to the ongoing health warning regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) has made the difficult decision to postpone the judging of the 2020 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA). The AIBA was scheduled to commence judging at Melbourne Showgrounds on Wednesday 13 May, concluding on Friday 15 May.

The annual event celebrates and recognises the best brewers across the world with up to 34 trophies presented to the champions of each category, including the overall Champion Australian Beer and Champion International Beer.
