When is the Melbourne Royal Show?

The dates for the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show are 26 September – 6 October.

What are the veterinary entry prerequisites?

All exhibits must be tested for Pestivirus (Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus) and certified as non PI (Persistently Infected). Exhibitors must provide a signed veterinary certificate or laboratory report, listing animals and their identification upon entry.

What is the feature breed?

This year we are celebrating youth in agriculture with the Ausmectin Youth Feature Heifer Show.

When will the schedule be available online?

The Beef Cattle Competition schedule was published on Monday 10 June 2024.

When do entries open and close?

Beef Cattle Competition entries opened on Monday 10 June 2024, and closed on Thursday 1 August 2024.

When is arrival at Melbourne Royal Show?

Beef Cattle Competition animals can arrive on Monday 30 September or Tuesday 1 October 2024. On your entry you will be requested to nominated which day you would like to arrive.

When is judging at Melbourne Royal Show?

Beef Cattle Competition judging will be completed from Thursday 3 October to Sunday 6 October.

When is departure from Melbourne Royal Show?

Beef Cattle Competition exhibitors can depart on the evening of Sunday 6 October.
