Delivery dates for the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show Entries are as follows:
- Art/Photography/Craft/Preserves/Junior and Open Decorated Cakes – Tuesday 10 September 2024, 12pm – 7pm
- Cookery/Confectionary/Preserves/Junior Cookery – Saturday 21 September 2024, 9am-12pm
When delivering your entries, please enter via gate 4 and exit from gate 5 (both on Langs Road). A parking pass will be included with your entry confirmation.
If you are unable to make it on delivery day, you can send it via post or email us at artcraftcookery@melbourneroyal.com.au to arrange another day. However, please note that the days and times will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
You can send your digital entries to us via File Share, We Transfer, Google Drive or Dropbox to our email artcraftcookery@melbourneroyal.com.au. Make sure to include your full name and entry number is the subject line so that we can match it to your entry eg. ACC Digital Entry – Name: ___, Entry Number:___.
All exhibits can be collected after the Melbourne Royal Show on Tuesday 8 October 2024, 12:00PM – 7:00PM. Perishable items will be disposed of at close of the Show. Only fruit cakes and preserves may be collected.
If you have won a prize or a ribbon, they can be collected from the Pavilion on the same day as collecting your exhibit – Tuesday 8 October 2024 between 12pm – 7pm. Any certificates or ribbons not collected will be posted.
If you entered the Melbourne Royal Art, Craft & Cookery Competition in 2012 or after, either online or by post, then you will have an online login ID. You should login using your email address as the login ID and enter your password. If you do not know your password, select "Forgotten Your Password?" on the login page to reset it.

Entries open Wednesday 5 June 2024 and close Wednesday 21 August 2024.
Entries may be delivered by courier or post if unable to be delivered in person. The name of the exhibitor or school and the class numbers relevant to the exhibits must be clearly shown on the outside of the parcel.

NOVICE: An exhibitor with no more than two years’ participation in that section and has not placed first in that section in the Art, Craft & Cookery Competition at the Melbourne Royal Show at any time. Must not work professionally in that craft, art form or technique.
OPEN: Competition open to all.
MASTER: An Exhibitor who has won a 1st prize in the open classes of this section at any Royal Show. Please state qualifying year and Show.
Most sections are open to all, however individual classes may have specific criteria. The Junior Competition has an age limit and the People with Disability Section has specific entry criteria. Please check the Competition Schedule.
The judging will occur on:
Saturday 14 September 2024 (Art, Photography, Craft, Junior & Open Decorated Cakes)
Saturday 21 September 2024 (Cookery, Confectionary, Preserves)
Sunday 22 September 2024 (Overflow Cookery, Florence Monod, Grand Culinary)
No entries can be withdrawn after closing.
Currently, only art and photography can be sold. Items made available for sale incur an additional non-refundable $10 handling and administration fee as well as a 35% royalty on sales.
An Art Launch will be held on the eve of the first day of the Melbourne Royal Show, where exhibitors and the public will have the ability to preview the Pavilion and buy pieces from the creative collection. There will also be the opportunity to buy art throughout Show.
The entry should always be under the name of the person who created the item that has been entered. This includes junior entries.

Art, Craft & Cookery exhibitors are not entitled to discounted entry tickets. However, by purchasing the restricted or full Melbourne Royal membership, you will receive tickets to the Melbourne Royal Show and a discount on your competition entry fees. Learn more here.
