Tell us a little about your winning wine and what success you’ve seen since the winners were announced.
Our 2018 ILR Reserve Semillon on release at six years of age in mid-2024, is one of our flagship wines at Brokenwood, and is consistently high scoring. This particular wine is released only from the best years, and the 2018 is a beauty made up of semillon fruit off of our Oakey Creek Vineyard. Since its release the wine has taken out one trophy at the 2024 Melbourne Royal Wine Show, along with collecting six gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals at multiple other wine shows across Australia. The magic of Hunter Valley semillon on display with texture, fruit weight and great length from a wine that sees no oak.
