Vale Graeme Barker

The Melbourne Royal Board, management and staff were very saddened to learn of the passing of Graeme Barker on 18 February 2024.

Known as the 'Voice of the Show.' Graeme's remarkable journey spanned 43 Royal Melbourne Shows, from a young showjumper to an iconic announcer, his dedication and passion were unwavering, recognised with prestigious awards including the President's Medal in 1997.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Jack Rae Pavilion at Berwick Showgrounds, Akoonah Park Hwy, Berwick on Sunday 7 April at 2pm. Entry is via Gate 5 on Cardinia Street.
