Border Collie Supreme Champion Pukawidgee Name Of The Wind owned by Kezziah Kennels & Mrs C Richards & Mr J Tyler & Ms P Tyler & Mr D Tyler, has been awarded Best in Show at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show today.
Presented by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) in conjunction with DOGS Victoria, the Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show is one the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with over 3,900 entries and 1,400 exhibitors competing for a prestigious Royal Melbourne Show blue ribbon.
Delighted winners Jarred Tyler and Ashlee Houlden were thrilled with the win with Jarred describing it ‘as good as it gets’
Jarred continued “Winning the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Dog Championship is the pinnacle achievement and we are so proud.”
“He was the runner up here three years ago and was the number one dog in Australia in 2017. To have numerous judges assess him and to come out on top is fantastic” stated proud breeder Ashlee Houlden.
In other awards presented today ‘Best Puppy in Show’ was awarded to Starblush Get Outta My Way, Pharaoh Hound exhibited by Ellie Triffitt, while ‘Best Baby Puppy in Show’ went to Huntwyre Planet Ocean German Wirehaired Pointer exhibited by Mr T Alvarez.

“The Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show is one of the feature events at the Royal Melbourne Show attracting not only outstanding entries from all over Victoria and interstate but also the very best judges from around the world.”
An expert international panel including Mr Espen Engh (Norway), Mrs Michael Forte (Ireland), Mrs Vicki Abbott (USA) and Mr Nemanja Jovanovic (Serbia), oversaw the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Dog Show judging.
