RASV hosts German beer giant Westerwald-Brewery in lead up to 2019 AIBA

The Westerwald-Brewery crew arrived in Melbourne this week to be awarded their medals from the 2018 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA). The brewery garnered medals for three of its beers including gold for Westerwald-Bräu.
Established in 1861, Westerwald-Brewery is one of the oldest pilsner breweries in Germany. The traditional, yet still private, family brewery from Wnest Germany is a "Slow Brewer". There are only 25 breweries in Europe who possess this traditional brewing seal of quality.
CEO Jens Geimer accepted the wins at The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) in Melbourne, accompanied by Paul Morton and Bianca Hof – two beer lovers who were awarded a special trip to Australia by Westerwald-Brewery.
As proof of their ongoing consistency for producing high quality product, this is the Brewery’s second trip to Melbourne to receive AIBA medals, having entered the competition every year since 2014.
With a wink and a smile Jens said “As a self-confident Quality-Brewery we simply have to participate in the biggest beer awards worldwide. Of course, it must be our teams goal to win a medal.”
RASV are once again are pleased to be able to meet Jens and the team and celebrate the achievements of a world-renowned producer of premium beer.
