More Competitions set to open for the Melbourne Royal Show

There is nothing like winning a coveted Melbourne Royal blue ribbon and so it is time to get back to competing in 2022. All our favourites are back, and you will also find some exciting new events planned by the committees. The 2022 Show is being held at Melbourne Showgrounds from 22 September to 2 October. 

Beef Carcase 

The Melbourne Royal Beef Carcase Competition will open for entries Wednesday 25 May. 

The Melbourne Royal Beef Carcase Competition provides studs, commercial producers, agricultural schools and colleges with the opportunity to network and benchmark the quality of their livestock.

Beef Cattle 

The Melbourne Royal Beef Cattle Competition will open for entries Friday 3 June. 

This year the Beef Cattle Competition is celebrating the Australian Lowline Feature Show, Simmental Australia 50 years, Red Angus Classic, 200 years of the Beef Shorthorn Coates herd book and much, much more!  Keep your eye out for more information on our website. 

Sheep 

Get excited for a bigger and better Melbourne Royal Sheep Competition in 2022. 

The Melbourne Royal Sheep Competition will open for entries Friday 10 June. 

Celebrating stud breeders of wool, dual purpose and meat breed sheep, this year’s competition is a must-attend event.
