Melbourne Royal Show Update: July 2026
06 Jul 2026 / Melbourne Royal News, Melbourne Royal Show
Planning for the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show continues to gather momentum, with our focus now turning to the launch of tickets and welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors to Melbourne Showgrounds this September.
The 2026 ticketing program has been carefully designed to encourage visitors to plan ahead while delivering exceptional value for families. Alongside our existing ticket offers, we are introducing several new initiatives that reward loyalty, encourage earlier purchasing and make it easier for visitors to experience everything the Melbourne Royal Show has to offer.
Growing our audience remains a key priority in 2026. Our new marketing campaign will showcase the breadth of the Show experience, from first-class agricultural competitions and thousands of animals through to thrilling entertainment, family attractions, food, rides and spectacular night-time experiences. We want every Victorian to discover their own reason to visit the Show.
Our 2026 ticketing campaign officially begins with Loyalty Access on Thursday 20 August, rewarding past purchasers and subscribers with the first opportunity to secure tickets at our best-value prices. This will be followed by our Public Launch on Monday 24 August, when tickets become available to everyone and our statewide marketing campaign begins. Whether you're planning a family day at the Show or encouraging family, friends and colleagues to join you, every ticket purchased and every recommendation helps us continue growing this iconic Victorian event.
If you're not already a Melbourne Royal Member, I'd encourage you to consider joining our community. Membership supports the important work of Melbourne Royal throughout the year and helps preserve one of Victoria's most cherished traditions, while providing access to a range of exclusive member benefits, including access to all 11 days of the Show for you and a guest.
Behind the scenes, planning continues at pace across every aspect of the event. Exciting new attractions, enhanced precincts, refreshed entertainment and improvements to the visitor experience are all coming together, while our teams continue working closely with exhibitors, competitors, partners and stakeholders to deliver another outstanding Melbourne Royal Show.
The continued enthusiasm and support from our committees, members, exhibitors and partners is greatly appreciated. It is a privilege to work alongside so many passionate people who contribute to the success of this remarkable event, and my focus remains firmly on delivering an exceptional Melbourne Royal Show for the Victorian community.
I look forward to sharing further updates over the coming months and, most importantly, welcoming you to the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show from Thursday 24 September to Sunday 4 October.
