A delegation from The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), led by President Matt Coleman, attended the inaugural Australian Shows Association (ASA) conference on the Gold Coast from 17-18 January.
With the theme of Stronger Together, Building Resilient, Adaptable Shows, more than 260 people descended on the Gold Coast to celebrate and share ideas on the future of agricultural shows across Australia and New Zealand.
Featuring International Association of Fairs and Expositions President and CEO, Marla Calico as the keynote speaker, the inaugural conference covered several topics including governance, marketing, risk mitigation, community engagement, innovation, technology, financial management and next generational mentoring.
The RASV were proud to partner with Victorian Agricultural Shows (VAS) to provide the opportunity for seven youth delegates to attend the conference and undertake important networking and skill development. They were joined by RASV Board Members Jason Ronald OAM, Noelene King OAM and Dr Catherine Ainsworth along with six RASV staff members.
